How to Survive in the Corporate World

Tips and Tricks for new MBA Managers

Running a business was neither easy to establish nor easy to operate. With changing environments and growing uncertainties, predicting the success of a business is a hard task. It depends on the number of factors, one single factor cannot be taken into consideration. It’s better to have no manager than a sleeping manager with zero intentions.

Existing in a corporate world is the first subject in the intellects of new managers. There is anxiety regarding rising in the first go. To survive the competitions and make space for own business, some tips are given as follows:

1. Building Robust Relationships:

Instead of treating the subordinates as mules and asses, the manager should focus on treating them as fellow members. Humans are neither machines nor output so rigid and perfect. They have feelings, emotions and opinions, which need to be kept in check.

2. Acquire Multiple Skills :

One single skill is not effective in handling any task. A manager might be good at career skills but might lack social and personal skills. So mastering them requires continuous practice and exposure to various challenges. Observation is also preferred.

3. Be Proactive :

It suggests taking steps before reacting to any event. A manager should refrain from becoming ignorant of any issues in the workplace. Every issue should be accompanied by solution packages. Any deficiency in the workforce should be evaluated to make sure how much training is necessary. This helps curb unnecessary expenditure.

4. Avoid Procrastination :

The most dangerous element inside an organisation is the practice of procrastinating. If all the managers procrastinate their work, labourers become sluggish and enjoy leisure. This results in lower output and fewer sales. This simply affects the profits of the business and need to shut down. The manager should note that any opportunity lost today is forever lost. Procrastination is no solution.
