                                                                                                        By @Surabhi Chourasia

Technology evolves incredibly quickly, and this includes the

technology used in the workplace. The question for many

attending school or planning a return to education is which

software and systems they need to understand in order to be

efficient in the workplace. After all, it is more important to be

an expert in what matters than somewhat familiar with a wide

range of tools.

The free Google tools for business are significantly helpful for

business and startup owners in this digital era. Those tools

can assist your companies in daily operation and get their

websites to appear on the top page of Google search results.

Any business needs the help of tools to ensure that their

website works in an efficient manner. The biggest advantage

of using tools is that they provide you with a new set of

functions incorporated for your website. Tools further improve

the logistics and dynamics of the website and in turn, make a

huge difference in the revenue of your company.

So, we have come up with a list of important Google tools

that you must absolutely use to create the maximum impact.

Moreover, since all the tools mentioned here do not cost you a

dime, it makes perfect sense for you to try all of them and

eventually use the ones you like.

Talking about the best Google business apps, many people are

familiar with Gmail and Google Drive, Google’s most trendy

free tools for communication, content production,

collaboration, and storage. Besides, Google Analytics to

improve SEO and Google Trends for a thorough insight

into global keyword trends are also popular among marketers.

In this world of entrepreneurship in a digital medium, these

tools can help you get on top of the results you expect.

It is important to make sure that your business, be it small

or big, improves and rises above your competitors. And there

is no better medium than the internet itself to improve your

growth.

Since the goal for any entrepreneur is to work smarter than

hard, these tools can help you achieve that. Whether your

business on the internet is run in the form of a blog, corporate,

news portal or an e-commerce platform, these Google tools

help your business take a new positive turn.

Here Are 30 Essential Software Tools Future MBAs Need To

Master

1) Google Analytics

The information or data about your business can add great

value to your business. Google Analytics helps you get all the

data you need, including web traffic on your website, making it one of the best free tools available on the internet to help you understand your growth and online presence.

It allows you to use online analytics information to help you

improve the content you put on your website and thereby

improve user experience and optimization for better sales,

which is obviously the end goal.

This tool enables you to find the source or the medium of the

user on your website, thus allowing you to understand if your

marketing plans have worked or not. By having this

information, you can devise new plans for your growth.

2) Google Data Studio

Google Data Studio is the younger brother of Google Analytics

that’s made for beginners who are new to using tools.

At times, you just need data shown in simple pie charts

or graphs to give you an idea about your website’s performance.

It is important that you use this data to have a better

understanding of your business and its performance.

With simple data analysis, you can easily run your small

business better.

3) Google Search Console

Once known as Google Webmaster Tools and now rebranded

to Google Search Console, this tool is perfect for webmasters.

It not only helps you in checking the indexing status but also

optimizes the visibility of your website.

Furthermore, it is the most important tool for Search Engine

Optimization (SEO). Any entrepreneur who works with the

help of an online website would know the incredible

importance of SEO to get prospective customers to your

website.

With this tool, you get the power to track your site’s search

providing suitable content. Once Google starts tracking your

website, you can get data on the organic search results and

their respective performance results.

businesses use the site to its full potential. However, it has

some great features for creating blogs. For example, different

designs, flexible layouts, and hundreds of background pictures

keywords does no justice to your website in the long run.

To help you create content relevant to specific keywords,

a detailed analysis of the average keyword searches on a

monthly basis and thus helps you come up with relevant data.

More than anything, it helps you create a new content

marketing strategy.

tags and code snippets, which is extremely helpful in case you

are running Facebook Ads. By using Google Tag Manager, you

can easily keep a count on the codes and tags on your mobile

How to Excel your Career as a Business Blogger By Manisha Rewani [MBA]

How to Excel your Career as a Business Blogger

  • By Manisha Rewani  [MBA]

Many of us want to take our careers to the next level. The goal may be to earn more money, move up on the corporate ladder, starting your own business, or a combination thereof. The next question is: how can you do that?

Understand Your Employer’s Goals and Focus on Meeting and Exceeding Them

Align your work with your employer’s goals. Take time to understand how your role aligns with the company’s goals, be it increasing sales or improving product quality. Report your weekly and quarterly accomplishments within that framework to improve management’s visibility into your work.

Set professional goals that allow you to meet and exceed their goals as a department or division. When you achieve something like winning a contract or graduating with a certification, be able to explain how this benefits the organization.

Go for a Doctorate in Management

A doctorate in business management or a DBA in Management may allow you to take your career to the next level. A doctorate in business is not just a credential to stand out in a field full of MBAs. A doctorate in management can teach you valuable skills like data analysis, risk management, or data-driven management. These skills may open the door to higher management to allow you to become a business consultant, or even start your own business.

Take Initiative

One of the best ways to stand out at work is to identify problems and take steps to solve them yourself. Document what you did, so that the process can be replicated elsewhere, or the results independently assessed. Show your employer your problem-solving skills rather than telling them you want to be one.

Openly communicate with your manager on goals and needs. Furthermore, if you can anticipate their needs and fulfill them, you’ll show that you understand their needs and are an invaluable contributor to the team. This increases the odds you’ll be given a leadership role and/or be promoted.

On the flip side, you can avoid unconscious bias by learning what your boss doesn’t like and avoiding the things they can’t stand. Be receptive to feedback to learn areas where you may improve upon. Feedback not only helps you grow personally but also helps improve communication and increases transparency.

Be Open to Learning and Volunteering

This is not necessarily a call to take classes or sit through seminars, though that may be necessary to learn some skills. Read books and magazines related to your industry and consider it a great way to learn how you can improve the organization. Ask coworkers for regular feedback, this will also help to create a friendly work environment. Take feedback gracefully and learn from it.

Do better rather than making repetitive mistakes. Consider working with others on their project in a supporting role to learn more about that area. If you volunteer for new projects, leadership could also recognize your effort. You might be partnered with team members with complementary skills or someone who lacks your project management skills but can teach you about what you need to know.  As a general approach to volunteering in the workplace, look past the amount of work required and evaluate the totality of the potential experience.

Get Involved in Mentoring

Mentoring is a great learning opportunity, and it is an invaluable networking tool. This is true whether you’re mentoring new hires or being mentored. You’ll learn a lot of inside knowledge that is difficult to learn otherwise. Furthermore, it demonstrates your commitment to the organization. Remember that you can learn a lot as a mentor from your mentee, whether it is the latest technologies or what they’re learning in school.

Productive, Progressive And Positive Lifestyle By @Surabhi Chourasia

Productive, Progressive And Positive Lifestyle                                                                                                                                                                                                                      By @Surabhi Chourasia

Do you think that you can’t live your dreams, you don’t have a productive, progressive and positive lifestyle, or are you struggling with time management, organization skills, interpersonal skills, relationship and personal development? Do you fear that failure is your destiny?

Fear not, your dreams are your destiny!

Imagine yourself taking control of your life making it productive, organized and fulfilling with a positive and proactive attitude, strong and valuable relationship, a healthy lifestyle and phenomenal progress.

We are all here for a purpose. God Almighty has not created anything especially humans, the best of all creations, without any purpose. So what is the purpose of this life? It is to make our and others' lives happy and successful. Different people have different perceptions of happiness and success. But the fact is that there is a certain lifestyle that can give us true and eternal happiness and an everlasting success. What is this lifestyle? It is a lifestyle that is in flow with nature coupled with the unique capabilities and qualities that God Almighty has equipped humans with. All of us are born genius. Each one of us has got every capability to live an epic life. All we need to do is to activate these dormant qualities to tune into a successful, epic and awesome lifestyle. A productive, positive and phenomenal lifestyle. A lifestyle designed just for you!

There are a few factors that lead to a lack of productivity in the workplace, and one of the leading causes is a work environment that is negative and stifles creativity. So you need to look at creating a workspace that will give your employees a comfortable place where they can be productive and enthusiastic about their work. With that, here are eight tips to make your work environment healthier; both physically and mentally, and also assist you in increasing positivity and productivity.

As a manager, employer or supervisor, the way to increase engagement and productivity within your company depends on how you treat your employees and the work environment you offer them. Here are some of the tips you can implement:

01. ENCOURAGE OPENNESS AND CREATIVE THINKING

It may sound counter-productive but openness, a space for productive sharing and disagreeing and competition, is great for business and a really good way to bring new ideas to life. Come up with ideas out of your comfort zone and see where the discussion goes on from there.  You can also get your team to write related ideas on index cards to encourage lateral thinking. After that take the cards, hand them out, make your group read them out and encourage responses.

02. GO A BIT GREEN

According to recent studies, the color green sparks inventiveness. You might not be able to paint the walls, but you could opt for items like backdrop, wall art, and ornaments within a green color scheme. You also should consider calming shades of green instead of the bright hues – sage and sea-foam green are the best options since they help you relax and spark your creativity.

03. CEMENT YOUR TEAM’S CONNECTIONS

To establish a productive working relationship with your team, you need to get to know each other. Look for ways to better communicate and if you have remote employees schedule regular video conferences so that they can all take part in the brainstorming sessions and meetings. At least some of the time you spend with employees should be spent chatting about hobbies, interests, plans and their family to learn more about each other and cement your relationships.

04. SHOW APPRECIATION

Employees need recognition and rewards for project milestones. It is a way of keeping the momentum up and their spirits high. Projects tend to be simple at first, but with time, they get difficult. So, set the milestones and reward them for each goal achieved. You should try sending them an email telling them how great they are doing, and acknowledge when they have reached a breakthrough. You will boost their egos and increase their productivity

05. MAKE THE WORKSPACE FUNCTIONAL

Working closely on projects can create an incredible team dynamic; working within tight confines can be disastrous. Your employees need their space, where they can get easy access to the tools and equipment that they need, and still be able to work with other team members closely. A separate space for meetings and brainstorming often works well.

06. PUT IN STANDING DESKS

It is not healthy to sit in one spot the whole day. That is why companies today are choosing to invest in standing desks which allow employees to choose whether to sit or stand as they please, move around and keep their muscles active throughout the day. You can either get a full standing desk or a unit that sits on top of your regular desk.

It is your responsibility to create, develop and nurture the right kind of working environment so that your employees can function positively and productively within the company.

10 Bad Habits of MBAs which can Harm Your Mental Health, Stay Safe

 World Mental Health Day

10 Habits That Can Hurt Your Brain

These 10 Bad Habits of MBAs which can Harm Your Mental Health, Stay Safe

Habit #1:  Habit of Eating Junk Food

Excessive consumption of junk food and sugar has a bad effect on the brain. Eating refined sugar slows down the development of the brain. The habit of eating junk-processed foods can affect your mental health. To improve your mental and physical health, instead of eating junk food, you should include foods rich in fiber, vitamins and whole grains. The type of diet we consume directly affects our overall health.

Habit #2: Smoking

Smoking is another horrible habit. It is one of the worst things you can do for your overall health, and that includes your brain health as well. Smoking damages blood vessels and causes chronic inflammation, which can lead to stroke and cognitive decline. People who smoke are also twice as likely to develop dementia. If you smoke, quitting is the best thing you can do for your brain (and your body).

Habit #3: Spending Too Much Time Alone

woman sitting on the couch alone

While we all crave alone time every now and then, socialization is important to your brain’s health. Spending too much time alone can be just as bad for your brain as not sleeping enough. When you’re constantly around other people, your brain gets stimulation from social interaction. But when you’re by yourself all the time, your brain doesn’t get that same stimulation. This can lead to depression, anxiety, and even dementia. If you want to keep your brain healthy, make sure you’re spending time with friends and family regularly.

Habit #4: Being Too Stationary

Another habit that can damage your brain is not moving around enough. If you have a sedentary lifestyle, it’s time to make a change. Being too stationary can lead to all sorts of health problems, including obesity, heart disease, and diabetes.
