What really creates executive presence?
Not just how you look.
Not just how you speak.
Not just how confident you sound.
The conversation went deeper.
Appearance creates an impression.
Communication creates clarity.
Gravitas creates confidence.
But consistency creates trust.
Even the smallest things matter.
A commitment kept.
A follow-up completed.
A message communicated clearly.
A difficult conversation not avoided.
A small task finished without someone having to chase you.
Because every small behaviour sends a signal:
“Can I rely on this person?”
That is where executive presence becomes real.
It isn’t something you put on for the boardroom.
It is what people experience consistently when they work with you.
One of the most useful coaching reminders from Shiffy’s session today:
Don’t ask only, “How do I appear?”
Ask:
“What do people experience when they experience me?”
That question can change the way a leader communicates, shows up and leads.
Executive presence is not built in one big moment.
