देश को हिला कर रख देने वाले पुलवामा हमले की जांच का चालान एक साल गुजर जाने के बाद भी पेश नहीं हो सका है। हमले की रूपरेखा तो पता चल चुकी है लेकिन व्यक्तिगत तौर पर किस शख्स का क्या रोल था, यह अब तक समझ में नहीं आ रहा। मामले की जांच कर रही एनआईए ने इस हमले में कई लोगों की पहचान की है। एनआईए इस हमले के पाकिस्तान कनेक्शन की तलाश ही कर रही है।लेकिन स्पष्ट रूप से अभी तक कोई बात नही की गई है

हाईवे बंद रहने के कारण जम्मू स्थित ट्रांजिट कैंप में जवानों की भीड़ बढ़ती जा रही थी. ऐसे अलर्ट के मामले में आमतौर पर जवानों को एहतियात बरतते हुए विमान से भेज दिया जाता है बताया जाता है कि 4 फरवरी से बर्फबारी के कारण जम्मू में फंसे सीआरपीएफ के जवानों को भी हवाई मार्ग से श्रीनगर पहुंचने की मंजूरी मांगी गई थी। सीआरपीएफ के अधिकारियों ने इसका प्रस्ताव बनाकर मुख्यालय भेजा था।
अधिकारी एक हफ्ते तक विशेष विमान की मांग करते रहे लेकिन मोदी सरकार ने सीआरपीएफ अधिकारियों के विमान मुहैया करवाने के निवेदन को अस्वीकार कर दिया था इसके बाद ही 2500 जवानों को 78 बसों में सड़क मार्ग से ही भेजने का निर्णय लिया गया. यह काफिला 14 फरवरी को सुबह साढ़े तीन बजे जम्मू से श्रीनगर के लिए रवाना हो गया। दोपहर बाद 3:15 बजे आतंकी हमला हो गया।
एक महत्वपूर्ण बात और है जम्मू-कश्मीर जैसे क्षेत्रों में सुरक्षा बलों के आवागमन के लिए एक तय प्रक्रिया बनी हुई है. उनका काफिला गुजरने से पहले संबंधित इलाके की सुरक्षा के लिए जिम्मेदार रोड ओपनिंग पार्टी यानी आरओपी इसके लिए हरी झंडी देती है. आरओपी में सेना, जम्मू-कश्मीर पुलिस और अर्धसैनिक बलों के जवान शामिल होते हैं. जानकारों के मुताबिक गुरुवार को तड़के साढ़े तीन बजे जम्मू से निकलने से पहले आरओपी ने रास्ते के सुरक्षित होने की हरी झंडी दे दी थी. सवाल है कि इसके बावजूद 60 किलो विस्फोटक से लदी कार लेकर हमलावर हाईवे पर कैसे पहुंच गया. यह भी कि उसे इतना विस्फोटक कहां से मिला? इस बात का भी अभी तक कोई जवाब नही दिया गया है
